Text ACTIVATE and send to 2300

You will receive the following message from 2300:

"GPRS Activation: GPRS for your mobile number has been activated. Pls configure your phone settings for MMS & Internet by visiting www.suncellular.com.ph/ecs_configure.php on your PC or you can text SUN GPRS to 1200. Need help? Call our hotline 200."

2. Configure your phone settings

Text SUN GPRS to 1200. For example, if your handset model is Nokia 2600c, text SUN GPRS Nokia 2600c and send to 1200.

You will receive the following messages from SunCellular:

"Ur currently not registered to SunCellular SMS Hotline. Pls txt SUN REGLastName,Firstname to 1200. Ex SUN REG UY,JOY Visit www.suncellular.com.ph for more info.[FREE]"

"Thank you for giving us that information. We will be sending your GPRS setting for your handset within the next 24 hours. Ticket #: SUN-11032xxxxxxx"

3. Wait for a few hours. You will receive the following message from 202:

"Your request for handset settings is currently being processed. Please save the settings whic will be sent to your phone. When asked for a PIN, enter 1234. This service is FREE."

4. Save and install the handset settings. Enter 1234 when asked for a PIN.

5. On your phone's internet browser, go to http://0.facebook.com and access facebook for FREE! 24/7*! Enjoy! :)

This set of tips for Facebook privacy settings shows you how to take full control of your profile, applications, contact details and wall posts under the latest version of Facebook.

These 10 tips are all you need to block prying eyes from your personal profile.

1. Create Friends Lists

Friends Lists allow you to filter Facebook content more easily. Fastest way to create a list: click 'Home' on the main menu bar, then 'Friends' in the sidebar on the left. You'll see the 'Create a List' button at the top of the page. Enter a name for your list – 'Work' or 'Mates', for example - and select friends to add to it.

2. Add people to existing lists

As well as adding people to a list when it's first created you can select and add them after. Click Account > Edit Friends then click 'All Connections'. You'll see your entire list of friends, with an 'Add to List' button next to each. You can also add new friends to lists when inviting them or accepting invitations.

CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS: Friends Lists are your friends. Both literally and metaphorically. Use them to control your privacy settings

3. Protect Facebook status updates

By default, Facebook has three levels of privacy: Friends, Friends of Friends and Everyone. Everything you can see on your Facebook page, from wall posts to photos is restricted to one of these groups. But, you can also exclude people from, seeing content using lists.

Try this: go to 'View my Profile' and go to your Wall. Type in a status update but, before posting it, click the Privacy menu button. It looks like a padlock with an arrow next to it. Choose 'Customise'. In the 'Hide This From' box and type the name of a list. Click OK and your update will be hidden from all the folks in that list...

4. Hide Facebook Wall posts

To hide wall posts from a list, go to Account > Privacy Settings and click 'Profile Information'. There are four entries that affect wall posts, 'Posts by Me', 'Posts by Friends' and 'Comments on Posts' can be filtered by list. Click the Privacy drop down next to an item and choose 'Customise'. Type the name of the list in the 'Hide this From...' box.

5. Prevent Facebook notification spam

There are few things more intrusive than applications that spam you automatically every time they update. The next time someone's annoying Farmville update or Mafia Wars notification appears in your feed, move your cursor over the post. A 'Hide' link appears. When you click it, you'll be given the option to hide all posts from the chosen application or even from that specific friend.

6. Stop embarrassing photo tags

You can't stop people tagging photos of you drunkenly dancing the conga, but you can stop others from seeing the tag. Go to the Privacy Settings section again and choose 'Profile Information'. Next to 'Photos and videos of me' choose 'Custom' from the drop down, then choose 'Only me' from the 'Make this visible to' menu.

NO TAGS: Your boss probably won't be impressed by photos of you passed out in a pool of your own fluids - so hide picture tags from your friends

7. Go invisible

Did that bloke who used to flick spitballs at you in Double Physics find you on Facebook and send you a friend request? This could have been prevented if you'd removed yourself from searches. In Privacy Settings, go to 'Search'. You can configure this so only your current friends can find you.

8. Remove your Facebook profile from search engines

What if your old nemesis is more persistent, turning to Google next to find your Facebook listing? No worries. In the very same 'Search' section of Privacy Settings, untick the box labelled 'Allow' in 'Public Search Results'. Give it a few days and your Facebook profile will quietly disappear from search engines.

SEARCH SETTINGS: You can preview how your profile will appear to people searching for you using Google or Bing - or block search altogether

9. Block intrusive applications

Some applications - including apps that only your friends have installed - use your image and even your profile data in updates. Stop 'em from accessing your information by going to Privacy Settings and choosing "Applications and Websites". The crucial configuration tools are in "What your friends can share about you". The list of available data is a bit unnerving - but don't worry, untick any entry and your info will stay private.

10. Hide your Facebook contact details

As with the majority of Privacy Settings, you can choose to hide certain contact details from specified lists of people. For example, if you don't want work colleagues to see your home number, first make a Friends List of the folks you want to exclude. Go to 'Contact Details' in Privacy setting. Choose 'Other Phone' and 'Custom' to hide the number from that list.

Tag Friends in Your Facebook Status and Posts

Tagging is one of the most popular features on Facebook, it enables you to identify and reference people in photos, videos and notes. Another way to tag people and other things you're connected to on Facebook is through your status updates and posts. It allows you to let other people know who and what you're talking about. It includes referencing friends, groups or even events they are attending — for instance, posting "Grabbing lunch with Meredith Chin" or "I'm heading to Starbucks Coffee Company — anyone want some coffee?

If you want to add a friend's name to something you are posting, just include the "@" symbol before your friend's name. As you type the name of what you would like to reference, a drop-down menu will appear that allows you to choose from your list of friends. Soon, you'll be able to tag friends from applications as well. The "@" symbol will not be displayed in the published status update or post after you've added your tags.

Friends you tag in your status updates will receive a notification and a Wall post linking them to your post. They also will have the option to remove tags of themselves from your posts. Tagging your status updates and others posts allows you to share in a more meaningful and engaging way, and connect with even more people.

Gannt Chart Made Easy

Gantt chart makes it easy to track activity progress and chart project timelines. One way to create a Gannt Chart is to use Excel by customizing the stacked bar chart type.

This article shows you how to create a Gantt chart like the following example.

Step 1: Enter the sample data

Open a new worksheet in Excel and enter the following values in cells A1 through D6:

Step 2: Create a stacked bar chart

Select cells A1:D6 and click Chart Wizard.
In step 1, click Bar under Chart Type, and then click the Stacked Bar sub-type (you can see the name of each chart sub-type at the bottom of the dialog box).
Click Next, Next, and then Finish.

Step 3: Make the chart look like a Gantt chart

Double-click the first series in the chart. This is the series for Start Date. If default colors are set in Excel 2002, this series is blue.
On the Patterns tab of the Format Data Series dialog box, click None for Border and None for Area, and then click OK.
Double-click the category (x) axis, which in a bar chart is the vertical axis. (In a bar chart, the traditional x and y axes are reversed.) Click the Scale tab, and select the Categories in reverse order check box.
Click the Font tab, click 8 under Size, and then click OK.
Double-click the value (y) axis, which in a bar chart is the horizontal axis. After completing the last step, this axis should be located at the top of the chart plot area. Click the Scale tab and type the following values in the appropriate boxes:
Minimum: 36739

Maximum: 37441

Major unit: 61

Minor unit: 1

These values are serial numbers that represent the dates to be used for the value (y) axis. The minimum value 36739 represents the date August 1, 2000. The maximum value 37441 represents the date July 4, 2002. The major unit of 61 represents about two months, while the minor unit represents one day. To see the serial number for a date, enter the date in a cell, and then format that cell with the General number format.
Also on the Scale tab, select the Category (X) axis crosses at maximum value check box.
Click the Alignment tab, and under Orientation, type 45 in the Degrees box.
Click the Font tab, and under Font style, click Bold. Under Size, click 8, and then click OK.
Right-click the legend, and click Format Legend on the shortcut menu.
Click the Placement tab, and click Bottom.
Within the legend, click Start Date so that it is selected, and then press DELETE.

After carefully following these steps, you should have a chart that looks similar to the example. You may customize the chart to fit to your project needs. Additional formatting can also be done as needed using the standard features in Excel Charts.

PayPal Account Activated

Finally, after long hours of waiting I already have my PayPal Account verified. I still haven't recieved a notification from my bank that my Visa Electron is already active and ready to use for international purchase transactions until now. But anyway, I still tried and logged in to my PayPal Account hoping that I will get lucky and my debit card will no longer be rejected by PayPal. I did get lucky! My debit card was accepted and I was able to link it with my PayPal Account - that was really easy.

I was really excited! Now, I can do what I have been longing to do for the past few days - get my PayPal Account verified. But the last step before I can get my PayPal verified is to confirm my debit card. My excitement started to decline because I thought it would take me another 48 hours of waiting to complete the process. PayPal requires the 4-digit Expanded Use No. (EXPUSE) in order to confirm any credit/debit card linked to a PayPal Account. If you have successfully linked your credit/debit card to your PayPal Account, you will be charged a small amount of $1.95. This will be reflected in your bank statement. However, this amount will be refunded to your PayPal Account after you successfully confirm your credit/debit card and verify your PayPal Account.

The EXPUSE No. is a four-digit code found on your bank statement or Account History - if you're using internet banking facility, after you have linked your credit/debit card to your PayPal Account. And since I haven't recieved a confirmation from my bank yet that my CyberAccount is already active, could not log into my EON CyberAccount. So, I couldn't access my Account History and view my EXPUSE No. I decided to log out from my PayPal Account and hope that I will get my EXPUSE No. soon.

But then I realized that if my debit card was already accepted on PayPal, it means that it is already active and ready to use for online transactions. I immediately went to my bank's website, I tried to log into the internet banking facility using the username I nominated and entered my password. Just trying my luck and hoping to be able to access my account online - and I did get lucky! I was able to enter and check my balance through the internet which means that I can view my transaction history and get my EXPUSE No.! And there it was! I immediately copied and pasted it to my PayPal Account after I logged on and my PayPal Account was finally verified! Wew! That was quick!

Now, I can use my PayPal Account for recieving money and payments from my Data Entry and Home Typing jobs.

EON Card Activated

My EON card has just been activated. Unfortunately I'm still unable to use it to verify my PayPal Account because I have to wait for another 48 hours to get my EON account enrolled in the EON CyberAccount - the EON Internet Banking Facility. And the waiting does not stop there because after my EON account gets enrolled in CyberAccount, I still need to request for Expanded Use Number (EXPUSE) which will take another 48 hours, if I get lucky. That's the only time I can get my PayPal Account verified. The waiting is really killing me...):

Just got my debit card...

I just got my eon debit card/visa electron from unionbank today and I'm excited to use it although it's not activated yet. Unionbank's online application really does work. I applied online and got an e-mail response telling me that my card will be available after 3 days at the Unionbank branch I specified. I went there after 4 working days and when I got there my card was waiting for me. I paid the 350 peso annual fee and that’s it! Now I’m one more step closer to having my Paypal account activated! Will try this over the next few days.

I went looking for a part-time job to earn some cash so I can buy a new laptop. TO CONVERT a Powerpoint presentation into Flash format:

1. Open Powerpoint and create your presentation.
2. Goto File / Save As.
3. Choose WMF in the drop-down list and click Save.
4. You will be asked if you want to save all the slides, Click Yes.
5. Open Flash and click the first keyframe.
6. Goto File / Import and select all the Powerpoint WMF files and click OK.
7. Flash will ask if you want to import the entire sequence. Click YES.
8. Edit the files in Flash and save it.

How To Unlock Your Nokia Cellphones

Typically when you purchase a cell phone, the company that sold you the phone (ex: Globe) 'locked' the phone before you bought it, so you can only use it on their network. This means that you can't use your phone on any other network, even if you change the SIM (which is an abbrevation for Subscriber Identity Module) card. The SIM card is the little piece of plastic that identifies your phone to the cellular network. Changing your SIM card to have your phone work on another network is useful especially if you want to travel to another country and want to buy a pre-paid SIM card so you can have cell phone access without roaming charges. There are services that offer to provide unlocking capabilities for a fee, but don't pay for them! You can do it yourself for free, which is the perfect price.

Steps

Download software to generate the unlocking code. Software is available on some websites for free and some pay websites that also offer support if things go wrong. Later in this page, I will also give you an external link to a website who offers a free Nokia phone code calculator.
Find the Serial number of the cell phone, also known as your IMEI number. This can be done by either removing the back of your cell phone and looking underneath the battery, or simply by typing in *#06# into your cell phone. It should looking something like: 010082321439976
Using the software you have downloaded, enter in your Manufacturer (which is in this case Nokia), your model number, and your IMEI number. Also enter your country and the Network. Calculate the code, this may be different depending on which software you are using. If your phone is the Nokia 3390 phone, select the model 3310, they are the same phone.
You will get a list of 7 groups of codes that look something like:

Remove the SIM card from your Nokia phone. This is typically done by removing the back cover of the phone and removing the battery and sliding the card out. Put the battery back in and power the phone on.
You should see a message "Insert SIM Card". Enter all of the characters you see in your code, including the # symbols. To get a 'p' press * 3 times, to get a '+' press the * key 2 times, to get a 'w' press the * key 4 times. Disregard any spaces in the code.
In order to unlock you phone you generally need to enter only one code. Start with the first one. If your phone is not unlocked by typing the first code (MCC+MNC), use code "7" (Multilock)
Once you have finished entering a code that works you should see a message that says "SIM is not restricted" or "Restriction off" message depending on your model. If not, try entering another code. Messge "Cannot undo restrictions" means the phone is "hard-locked" and cannot be unlocked by code.

Tips

Unlocking only applies to GSM phones, phones using other cellular technologies, cannot be unlocked without special software and hardware

Warnings

Attempting to unlock your phone is done at your own risk. Although unlocking your phone is legal, some cell phone operators might choose to void your warranty should you unlock your phone (then again, some cell phone operators won't mind).
Most phones only allow you to try a certain number of unlock tries, Nokia phones have a limit of 5 tries. After that, the phone becomes "hard-locked", meaning it cannot be unlocked without using special equipment.
Most of the newer phones will not work with the codes generated by the free unlock programs.

Downloading and Installing Fonts

First, download the fonts. You will be prompted to choose where you wish to save the font file. Follow the directions below:

a) Make sure you have selected your C drive;

b) Click on the New Folder button;
c) Call your new folder "fonts" and press enter;

d) Click Save button to save downloaded font.

After you have downloaded and saved the fonts you want to install, you are now ready to install. Go to My Computer;

Go back to your C drive;

Select the "fonts" folder where you saved the fonts you want to install and click the folder to open;

A pop-up window will prompt you to extract the content of the folder. Click Extract to button;

Select the location of the folder where you want to extract the file. In this example, be sure to select your C drive and go to "fonts" folder then click the Ok button to extract the file to your desired location.

After extracting the file to your "fonts" folder. Go back to your C drive and locate the "fonts" folder to open it. Select the font you want to install from the folder;

A pop-up window will appear. Click the Done button to finish your installation.

Check your MS Word if you have successfully installed the font. If you have done so, you just learned a new skill in troubleshooting! Congratulations! (applause!) You should treat yourself!(:
